CCPT 102 is a 3-day advanced training in the practice and application of CCPT. This intensive training will build upon basic CCPT skills by addressing advanced topics in CCPT, including: understanding development, the process of CCPT, themes in CCPT, advanced limit setting, specific presenting problems, parent consultation, CCPT research, and advocacy! Participants must have completed CCPT 101 or equivalent.This workshop includes supervision, and each participant is required to conduct and record a CCPT session with a child prior to the workshop.

Thursday, October 1st 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm PST (with one 30-minute break)

Friday, October 2nd 8:30 am to 5:30 pm PST (with 1-hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks)

Saturday, October 3rd 8:30 am to 5:30 pm PST (with 1-hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks)

 Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will be able to describe how child development impacts play therapy.

  2. Participants will be able to distinguish between play behaviors and play themes.

  3. Participants will be able to demonstrate when and how to use limit-setting and choice giving from a child-centered perspective.  

  4. Participants will be able to demonstrate child-centered play therapy skills and attitudes.

  5. Participants will be able to cite and access research findings on the effectiveness of CCPT.

  6. Participants will be able to articulate the change process for various presenting problems.

  7. Participants will be able to integrate feedback into practice of CCPT.

Speaker:

Dr. Kimberly M. Jayne LPC, LMHC, NCC, RPT-S™, PMH-C (she/they) is the owner of Kimberly Jayne Counseling, LLC, a Professor of Counselor Education at Saybrook University, and the Play Therapy Program Director for a preschool play therapy program. Kimberly is a Certified Child-Centered Play Therapy and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy Supervisor and Trainer, and a Certified Child-Centered Group Play Therapy Supervisor. Kimberly has extensive experience teaching and supervising play therapists, working with children and families in play therapy, and researching and writing about child-centered play therapy.

The training venue is a rental home in the St. John’s neighborhood in Portland, OR with stairs. The building does not have elevator or ramp access. Training Fees

This advanced 3-day training is $720 per participant. Registration opens July 20, 2026, and closes September 17, 2026, or when full capacity has been reached.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellation refund requests should be submitted to Kimberly Jayne in writing. The registration fee, minus a $50 administrative fee, will be refunded only if the request is emailed by 5:00 pm on September 17, 2026. No-shows will not receive a refund or CE credit. Attendees are expected to be present for the entire duration of all training days. CEs will only be awarded for full attendance during all training days.

Kimberly Jayne Counseling, LLC reserves the right to cancel this workshop series in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If such occurs, Kimberly Jayne Counseling, LLC will attempt to notify registrants prior to the workshop and refund all registration fees. In all instances, the liability of Kimberly Jayne Counseling, LLC is limited to refunding such fees.

Completion of CCPT 102 fulfills all CCPT 102 educational requirements towards certification.

You will receive 18 total contact CE hours.

For the purpose of Criteria Verification Forms for RPT Credentialing Applications, this training covers:
10 hours of Seminal or Historically Significant Theories, 
7 hours of Skills & Methods,
1 hour of Culture and Social Diversity.
